Novice Program Running Coach - Ashley Edwards
Ashley Edwards is the novice program running coach. Ashley is an accomplished and
experienced adventure racer having competed in over 50 sprint, intermediate and
expedition race events. Ashley has completed ten marathons and is a 2005 Boston
Marathon finisher. Along with her experience, Ashley brings a great deal of enthusiasm
and passion for the sport of adventure racing to the program.

Novice Program Biking Coach - Will Williams
Will Williams is the novice program biking coach. Will is an avid cyclist who has been
competing for over eight years. His favorite event is endurance mountain biking but he
also enjoys adventure racing and has competed in numerous races from sprint to 48 hours.
Will is looking forward to sharing his enthusiasm for biking.

Novice Program Paddling Coach - Chris Spradlin
Chris Spradlin is the Novice Program Paddling Coach. Chris is an experienced adventure
racer having competed in many sprint races, 12 hour races and 24 hour races. He has had
several top 3 finishes and competed in the 2008 USARA National Championship race. While
enjoying all the disciplines of adventure racing, his favorite aspect is paddling. Chris looks
forward to sharing his knowledge and passion for kayaking and canoeing with beginner adventure racers.

Novice Program Navigation Coach - Josh Thompson
Josh Thompson is the novice navigation coach. Josh has competed in adventure
races varying from 4 to 24 hours in length, including several top 5 finishes. Josh
contributes to his teams by always keeping them "found", carefully choosing the best
routes to minimize distance and fatigue and maintaining a positive attitude during the
most difficult parts of any race. Josh is looking forward to teaching the art of navigation
to all new racers.

Veteran Program Running Coach - Kelley Simmons
Kelley Simmons is the veteran running coach. Kelley is an ex basketball and rugby player
who has taken up running and endurance racing as a way to keep the competitive edge. He has
competed in everything from 5ks to marathons and on- and off-road triathlons. In a short period
of time, he has also posted several first place finishes in various length adventure races
ranging from 2-hour sprints to a 30-hour expedition length race. He believes there really
is nothing better than training with your fellow racers to help take your running to the
next level while having fun at the same time.

Veteran Bike Coach - Jason Maloney
Jason Maloney is the veteran biking coach. Jason was a member of the winning
teams in the TSARCS, Lonestar Adventure Racing and Texas State Sprint Championship
Adventure Racing Series. His positive attitude keeps his teammates entertained through
all hours of a race. Jason looks forward to sharing his expertise on the bike, which is
revered by his teammates and his competition.

Veteran Paddling Coach - Bobby Kitchen
Bobby Kitchen is the veteran paddling coach. Bobby is an avid paddler and has
competed in over 50 adventure racing events of varying lengths. While he enjoys
all of the disciplines AR offers, Bobby is most passionate when racing on open
water. By sharing his knowledge and experience, Bobby hopes to help others improve
their paddling skills.

Veteran Navigation Coach - Alan Henson
Alan Henson is the veteran navigation coach. Alan has competed in numerous
adventure races ranging from sprints to 24 hour formats. His navigation skills have
earned his team a Nationals Qualification as well as multiple top-5 finishes. He looks
forward to sharing his knowledge and passion for navigation in the sport of Adventure
Racing.
